We are excited to be back in Truckee, CA for another year of create.explore.discover

Join us for a weekend of letting go, reconnecting and discovery. This years theme is: EMPOWER and we have some very special friends and guests joining us to share their joy, their art and provide you with opportunities to grow in your creativity.

The retreat will be Friday – Sunday, October 20 – 22. and we will be offering ONLY full weekend opportunities. We have found that being able to escape for a solid weekend benefits not only your mind, body and soul but also strengthens your bond with other retreat attendees.

Our weekend will open with a special event and dinner called A Conversation With… Each event is designed to bring together well-respected artists of all types (actors, authors, fine artists, etc.) who have delved into other realms of creativity (photography, writing, etc.) and succeeded. Audience members will enjoy intimate discussions of the creative process and pushing oneself into other arenas of artistic work. We will be announcing our special guest in the next few weeks…

There will be two main creative classes on the weekend and you will leave with two completed projects. No class selections but rather an opportunity to really focus on what you are making and learn from some of the best teachers in the art field today.

Anne Weil of Flax and Twine will lead our Saturday class and we will be making a Fabulous Floor Pouf! Anne is dear friend, a (4) time teacher at our retreat and is an all time favorite for attendees. I have personally made one of these poufs and I can attest that they are fun, easy and a really beautiful addition to your home.

Amy Ambroult of AG Ambroult Elemental Designs will lead our Sunday class and we will be making a Cold Connections Bracelet. What girl doesn’t love jewelry? This will be a personal piece that is easy to make and Amy is just the right guide to teach us. This will be Amy’s first time teaching at CED but she comes from many sessions at Squam and has a thriving art practice in the Boston Area.

In addition, this year I am thrilled to announce that we have added two health and wellness sessions with my personal trainer, Lauren Evans of EFAST/Fizio and Morgan Rubenacker of Bend Yoga. Both these ladies have a wealth of knowledge about healthy living and fitness.

I guarantee that you will leave feeling refreshed and ready to step back into your daily life.

Finally, I am thrilled to share that my good friend, project collaborator and fellow photographer, Nick Holmes will be offering his signature Empowerment Portraiture Photography Sessions to our attendees this year. While not included in the price of the retreat, this is a very special opportunity to work with one of the best fine art photographers in the US to create empowering images that you will cherish for a lifetime.

Stay tuned this week for additional posts, pricing information and retreat registration!
